Im thinking of dressing up as gerard way 4 halloween is it offensive?

im gonna wear a black long sleeved shirt,red tie,black shoes and pants like in helena but halloween is 4 scaring ppl and dressing up scary by dressing up as gerard way is it bad becuz im showing him up as a scary person or some ppl might think im dressing normal like an emo person but im not emo im actually girly but i love mcr(im listening to you know what they do to guys like us in prison while writting this)
