What do do when you have no true friends?

Okay so i am 16 and in tenth grade. I have been friends with the same people since elementry school but i don't trust any of them because they gossip about everyone behind their back and only want to know secrets because their nosey not because they want to help. I'd much rather be friends with older people who are more mature and don't pretend to hate drama but actually love it. what should i do i don't want to ditch them all because then i'll be friendless but i want someone i know i can trust. how can i get tight with a teacher who is like 24?
