How is the fundamentalist invocation of the name of Jesus for salvation different than a belief in magic?
I am very glad you asked this question. I do have an answer for you. Magic is in reference to witch craft and sorcery, both of which are clearly banned by God [Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live] Exodus 22:18 While on the other hand, the name of Jesus is holy and powerful. Jesus' name does not invoke any sort of magic. Jesus' name is holy, and demands respect. [At the name of Jesus every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord].Romans 14:11 When the name of Jesus is spoken, demons tremble in fear. This is not a name to use lightly, and unless we ask for things according to His will, He will not answer, whether His name is used or not.
